Three letters of recommendation from at least one supervisor and other letters from key leaders in the candidate’s professional arena. These letters should attest to the applicant's ability to engage successfully in doctoral level study and demonstrated ability as a leader, critical thinker, problem solver, collaborator and promoter of a just society.

The application will prompt you to upload your Resume or C.V.

Please include relevant work experience, examples of professional achievement or other information that might be used to assess your personal qualities and your ability to successfully complete doctoral level work.

The application will prompt you to submit an essay. Please write a brief reflective essay stating, as specifically as possible, your goals for enhancing your leadership skills and impacting your community through education.

Evaluated Transcripts

In addition to the items above, international applicants must have a course-by-course transcript evaluation completed by one of the member organizations of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Please visit for a list of those participating organizations. Note that each organization will have its own instructions on how to submit required documents for evaluation. The evaluation must also show that a bachelor's degree equivalent to one in the United States has been earned.

India: Based on WES’s recommended evaluation criteria, three-year bachelor's degrees awarded at “NAAC A Universities” that have achieved at least a First Class degree classification will be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

TOEFL, Duolingo, or IELTS Score Reports

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Duolingo, or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score report is required of non-native English speaking applicants. The following minimum scores are required:
TOEFL: 79
Duolingo: 110
IELTS: 6.5

The language proficiency exam will be waived for international students with:

• Graduation from an accredited American high school OR
• Graduation from an American two- or four-year college or university OR
• Completion of 15 graduate credits at an American college or university OR
• Completion of 60 undergraduate credits including six transferable credits of English at an American college or university
• A degree from an international institution in which the documented official language of instruction is English.

Certificate of Finance (Upon Acceptance)

In order to qualify for the Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20) for an F-1 student visa, students must be admitted into the program full time and provide proof of sufficient funding for at least the first year of graduate study. This form can be completed upon admission to the graduate program. Upon receiving your offer of admission, you will be directed to complete the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Certificate of Finance. Students are also welcome to supply this completed form in their admission application if they wish.
